"I went to Tanzania 2 summers in a row. I taught English in a nearby school, went on safari, and went to Zanzibar. When we were on safari, just as we were leaving the campsite, a giant elephant walked right into camp looking for water. Directly after we saw the elephant, we saw a lion just walking down the road. During one of the weekends, we went to the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. We stayed in tents at the top of the crater and that is where we woke up to zebra surrounding our tents in the morning. After volunteering with the Maasai for few weeks, a few of us decided to climb Kilimanjaro before our next volunteer job at a Light in Africa begun."
